Duplicate Plate Order
If your plate has been misplaced or is damaged, you may request a duplicate tag at your local office. You must present the following to the Division of Motor Vehicles:
- Your current insurance card
- Your registration card or plate number
- The fee for a duplicate plate is
- $5.00 for the plate
- $5.00 for the sticker
If your tag is damaged, it is requested that you turn in your damaged plate at time of ordering. A temporary tag will be offered to you for use of your vehicle while waiting on your duplicate tag to arrive.
All plate orders may take 6-8 weeks to be received from the time of ordering. To inquire about your order, please contact DMV Customer Service@delaware.gov, or you may call 302-744-2500.
