Welcome to the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) website!
Jana Simpler was appointed as the Director of DMV and Toll Operations in September 2018. Jana comes to the Division from the Office of Highway Safety (OHS) where she served as Director for the past eight years and before that served as the Deputy Director. Jana was inspired to take the job of Director of DMV and Toll Operations because of her desire to continue to learn and grow and she felt her background and experience were a good match for the challenge.

I look forward to the opportunity to lead an agency whose history of excellent customer service and strong commitment to its employees has led the agency to effect many enhancements in the last several years. I thank Secretary Cohan for the opportunity to join her team and focus on making Delaware’s DMV the best in the country."
Jana received her master’s degree in Public Administration from Wilmington University in 1997 and her Bachelors in Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware in 1993, and lives in Milton with her family.
