Change Vehicle Weight
To change the current registered weight
on a vehicle weighing over 5,000 lbs. you must complete a MV213 Form. This
form should indicate the current registered weight and the new desired weight on the form. The vehicle owner
or an authorized agent of a company owned vehicle or a power of attorney must sign the form for the weight change.
The Division will prorate the fees for weights that are being increased. This is determined by the amount of time remaining on the current registration and the increased weight fee.
The Division does not refund on un-used fees for weights that are being decreased.
