Notice to Centennial Plate Owners
It has come to our attention that due to the extreme weather conditions the state has been experiencing over the last six months some of the Limited Edition 100th Anniversary Centennial Plates are experiencing premature corrosion. This means that some of the custom Heritage Gold paint, used for the letters and numbers on the plates is oxidizing and looks as if it is fading. Considering how important these award winning plates are to our state's license plate history and how treasured they are by you the owners we would like to identify those plates that are oxidizing prematurely and replace them immediately.
If you believe that your Centennial Plate is fading and the paint is oxidizing prematurely, please contact Phyllis Chase at the Division of Motor Vehicles at 302.744.2511. If DMV determines that your centennial plate is showing advanced fading, your plate will be replaced free of charge!
